Concerning rifle:
The minimum caliber is the 300 Winchester Magnum, it will be better if you have a 300 WEATHERBY and ideally, we advice you the 375 HH which is the all purpose rifle in Africa.

Concerning a munitions:
Take semi-amoured bullet. For your information, if you ask it to us 2 weeks before, we can provide bullets for you for a good price and good quality.

At least, for the hunter interested:
You can also bring with you a shotgun for small game (essentially game birds, sand grouse, francolins, guinea fowl…)

Which equipments for the bow hunting?

For the hunt in South Africa, take an arrow with coloured feathering (fluorescent or flashy colour). Put on your arrow luminous nock which will help you to see your blow.
Prefer anytime the penetration which seems your arrow must be heavy with small blade. This adequation works anytime. Use 3 or 4 blades for your point like Slick Trick. Point must be grinded, solid and efficient. The solid multiblades makes the work of the trackers easier. The african game is very strong, to shoot a great koudou with 200 kg requires  good equipment, well fixed and, above all, good training.

Big animal:
Like Great Kudu, Cape Eland, Gemsbok, Blue Wildebeest, Zebra, Giraffe, Sable…
Minimum power of the bow  advised is 65 lbs / ideal power 70/75 #
In order to have a good kinetic energy, the weight of the arrow must be egual to 10 grain per thrust  « livre» : For example, 70 # power = an arrow of 700 grain.
Your sight must be adjusted  for a distance of 20, 30 and 40 meter. The shooting distance in Africa can be important sometimes.
The shot of a Jackal, pests or a guinea fowl can be nice for the dinner !

Meduim size animal:
Like whartog, Nyala, Impala, Baboon, Duiker, Steenbok, Jackal…
Minimum power of the bow advised is 50 lbs : ideal power 60/65 #
In order to have a good kinetic energy , the weight  of the arrow must be egal to 10 grain per thrust  « livre» : For example, 55 # power = an arrow of 550 grain.

Don’t forget the small material to fix or repair your bow. Because the bow hunting shop is not close by, you must be able to fix your bow by yourself.
Small bow press, spare rope, peep sight, silencer for rope, feather or « vannes », nocks, glue, wax for the rope, a tennis ball with a «  judo » point to test the good adjustment of your bow.
